E-Justice Project: Justice For All
E-Justice Project is a California based law firm committed to providing education and advocacy via Justice Projects. Justice Projects are directed at historically vulnerable California communities and individuals that have traditionally lacked effective and equitable access to Justice. The mission of the Employment Justice Project is to educate California workers on their employment related rights, entitlements and remedies, and serve as an advocate in their employment related disputes when those rights are violated or infringed upon.
E-Justice Project is committed to bringing access to Justice to California employees. EJP wants to educate its clients, advocate on their behalf, negotiate a reasonable resolution, and is prepared to litigate when all else fails. EJP represents clients in a variety of ways, from negotiating severance agreements, providing zealous advocacy in the face of discrimination or wrongful termination, and recovering unpaid wages.
“A few extra minutes of work each day can add up. Troester (The Plaintiff/Employee) is seeking payment for 12 hours and 50 minutes of compensable work over a 17-month period, which amounts to $102.67 at a wage of $8 per hour. That is enough to pay a utility bill, buy a week of groceries, or cover a month of bus fares. What Starbucks (The Defendant/Employer) calls ‘de minimis’ is not de minimis at all to many ordinary people who work for hourly wages”
